The number of entries to participate in the 39th Monbat Rally Sliven reached 5, after local crews proved to be the most active in their desire to start in the rally so far. Mario Popov and Daniel Metchikian from Doctor Speed (Ford Fiesta ST, E1) and Mihail Boev / Dimitar Gochev (Peugeot 106 GTI, E1) were registered in the last days. Their names, as well as the other entries, can be found in the "Entrants list" section, which is updated live.

Cristiana Oprea returns to Sliven for second consecutive time

Romanian rally driver Cristiana Oprea announced her season for the season 2019. Oprea, which finished last season 25th in the overall standings of Monbat Rally Sliven 2018, will participate in three events. The organizers of the 39th Monbat Rally Sliven submitted to the Bulgarian Automobile Sports Federation a proposal for inclusion in the program of the competition and a round of the Bulgarian Rally Sprint Championship. The goal of ASC Scorpion is to ensure that another round of rally sprint championship is held, as well as to provide maximum emotion to the thousands of spectators who will visit the event in Sliven.

For a second consecutive year, Monbat Rally Sliven will have new dates. For the 39th edition of the competition, the organizers chose the last weekend of June - from 28 to 30 June. The competition, which in recent years proved to be the best Bulgarian rally, will be the second round of Bulgarian Rally Championship and third round of FIA Balkan Rally Trophy.

Miroslav Angelov and Edi Sivov won the 38th Monbat Rally Sliven

Megaport Racing crew Miroslav Angelov and Edi Sivov (Skoda Fabia R5, RC 2) won the 38th Monbat Rally Sliven - second round of Bulgarian Rally Championship and the fourth round of Balkan Rally Trophy. Angelov and Sivov won 10 out of 11 special stages and in the final the difference with the second place crew Yordan Atanasov and Yanaki Yanakiev (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, RC 2) is impressive - 3: 12.8 minutes.

Mistake for Tihomir Stratiev in "Karandila" special stage

Miroslav Angelov and Nedyalko Sivov will be at the top of the 38th Monbat Rally Sliven with a strong lead after first day. The Megapart Racing crew won five of the six special stages today and gained an advance of 2: 54.0 minutes ahead of Yordan Atanasov and Yanaki Yanakiev (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, RC 2). ART Racing crew approached dangerously close to the leaders before the service, but in the second passes of the three special stages were damaged in the rear differential and lagged behind. Third are Grigor Grigorov and Petar Sivov (Peugeot 208 R2, RC 4), who have a 6 second advance in the battle for the last place on the podium.
