Monbat's story dates back to 1959, when producing lead-acid batteries in state-owned company in Montana is started. It was privatized in 1998 and became the largest producer of batteries in Eastern Europe with production and recycling capacities in five different countries.

Monbat Rally Sliven 2018 will start on 27 July with a ceremonial start and a super-special stage on the streets of the city. In the next two days the participating crews will have to tackle the extremely difficult and technical stages in Balkan Mountains and the fastest of them will be awarded in the early afternoon of Sunday.
