Starting with number 1 in the 38th Monbat Rally Sliven Tihomir Stratiev and Dobrin Borisov shared their expectations for the upcoming rally. The two participated in the traditional press conference before the start of the race.

34 crews passed the administrative check and the scrutineering before the start of 38th Monbat Rally Sliven - second round of Bulgarian rally championship and fourth round of FIA Balkan Rally Trophy. The foreign crews that will start the race are 9 - three from Romania and Greece, one from Poland and a mixed crew from Sweden and Denmark.

The weather will be the key factor in Monbat Rally Sliven 2018. In the days before the start of second round of Bulgarian rally championship the weather condittions was extremally unstable - the sunny hours was followed by heavy, but short rain showers.

Romanian crew Vlad Cosma / Florin Dorca will start in Monbat Rally Sliven 2018 with FIAT 124 Abarth in RGT class. The rally car of the Romanians makes a debut in Bulgaria and is the first RGT class member that fans in Bulgaria will be able to see. This will be the first start of Cosma and Dorca with their new car.

Във връзка с провеждането на 38. Монбат Рали Сливен се въвежда временна организация на движението по улиците на град Сливен и пътищата, които ще се използват за провеждане на скоростните етапи. Състезанието ще се проведе на 27, 28 и 29 юли и е втори кръг от националния рали шампионат, както и четвърти кръг от Балканския рали трофей на ФИА.

На 24 юли 2018 г. от 11 часа в Пресклуб на БТА ще се състои официалната пресконференция за предстоящото Монбат Рали Сливен 2018 - втори кръг от Българския рали шампионат и четвърти кръг от Балканския рали трофей на ФИА.

The crew of ART Racing Yordan Atanasov and Yanaki Yanakiev will battle on two fronts in the upcoming Monbat Rally Sliven 2018. They will look for a good result to continue the battle for the title in ERT 2 category in FIA Balkan Rally Trophy. After fourth place in opening round of Bulgarian Rally Championship in Tvarditsa Atanasov and Yanakiev will need good points in Monbat Rally Sliven 2018 to close the gap with the leaders.

Megapart Racing, who is the leader in the team standings in Bulgarian Rally Championship, will start in Monbat Rally Sliven 2018 with four cars. Leading crew again will be Miroslav Angelov and Nedyalko Sivov (Skoda Fabia R5). The two are leaders in the general rankings of Bulgarian Rally Championship.

Minutes before the deadline for sending of entry forms for Monbat Rally Sliven 2018, the number of foreign crews who confirmed their willingness to participate in the competition is 16. Five are crews from Romania, three from Serbia and Greece, one from Sweden , Georgia, Italy, Poland and Turkey.
