Stoyan Mechkov will be on the start of 36th Rally "Sliven" behind the wheel of exclusively atractive rally car. Local pilot prepares for nearly six months replica of racing Renault Clio Maxi Kit Car of his idol - French legend Jean Ragnotti.The aim of the driver of the local rally club "Scorpions" is the car to be as similar as possible to the technical parameters of the legendary car.

The leaders in the championship submitted an entry form for participation in the 36th Rally "Sliven". The leading crew of ART Racing Jordan Atanasov / Angel Bashkehayov who led in the standings of Bulgarian Rally Championship, today sent its formal intention to take the start in Sliven. For Jordan Atanasov this will be the first start in Sliven after nearly 9 years of pause. Last start for driver from Varna was in season 2007, when behind the wheel of a Honda Civic in class N3, and ends on 10th place overall and second in class.

We have received the first entry form for the 36-th rally Sliven. The most eager is the Bulgarian rally champion for 2014 - Plamen Staykov and his new co-driver David Kvartsakhelia - Davidone. Staykov's team will compete again with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. 9. Plamen Staykov and Davidone are holding the second place  at the national championship, after two wins  (Sibiu and Tvarditza-Elena) and a retirement in rally Bulgaria 2016. Plamen Staykov win rally "Tvarditsa-Elena" 2016, the third round of Bulgarian rally championship. Staykov with his new co-driver Davidone were convincing leaders from the start of the rally and left no chance to their rivals. Second are Martin Surilov / Zdravko Zdravkov, third - Jordan Atanasov / Angel Bashkehayov. All three crew rely on cars Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9. Winner in 2wd class became crew of InnoMotion Racing Stanislav Vladimirov and Chavdar Sabev who finished fourth in the overall standings and won the prize in the name of the legendary bulgarian rally driver Todor Slavov.

Thirteen special stages will determine the winner in 36th rally Sliven. This was announced today at the official website of the rally. Rally Sliven 2016 is 4th round of Bulgarian rally championship and 5th round of regional FIA cup - zone Balkans. The rally will take part from 2nd to 4th of September.

What do you think of Rally Sliven? On the sporting point of view this is a very good rally. I saw all the stages and they are great. It is a really beautiful rally. As far as the rally is good, the fans will come to see it. The stages here are very technical and I really like them. It is great. What does it take to make a good rally? To make a beautiful rally you must have good routes – that you have. You must also have good level of organization – here you have to improve.

Todor Slavov was awarded the Colin McRae Flat Out Trophy in Rally Sliven, 11th round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC).

Harry Hunt's co-driver Robbie Durant will undergo surgery in hospital in Plovdiv later today. The English crew had an incident in SS11 Kantona after they went out of the track.
