Plamen Staykov and David Kvaratskhelia (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) managed to hold a large part of their advance in front of Orhan Avcioglu and Dan Girtofan. After the first two stages today, the difference between Staykov and Avcioglu is 34.4 seconds, while Girtofan is now 58.4 seconds away from the leader. The leader in 2wd category Miroslav Angelov (Peugeot 208 R2) retire after special stage "Tchukata", with engine problems.

The crew of Staykov Racing Georgia Plamen Staykov and David Kvaratskhelia (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) is leading after the second day of 37th rally “Sliven”. Last year's winners had an advance of 39.4 seconds ahead of Turks Orhan Avcioglu and Burcin Korkmaz (TOKSPORT WRT, Ford Fiesta R5) and 53.8 seconds ahead of Romanian Dan Girtofan and Tudor Marza (CS Prorally Team Brasov, Skoda Fabia R5).

Staykov Racing Georgia crew Plamen Staykov and David Kvaratskhelia (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) are leading after the first four special stages of the program on the second day of the 37th rally “Sliven”. They have a 24-second advance in front of the Turks Orhan Avcioglu and Burcin Korkmaz (Ford Fiesta R5) and 24.2 seconds to Dan Girtofan / Tudor Marza (Skoda Fabia R5).

По време на специален етап 5 "Българка" е възникнал инцидент със зрител, който е бил ударен от състезателен автомобил с номер 27 Марио Попов / Даниел Мечикян (Форд Фиеста ST). Ръководството на състезанието реагира мигновено, етапът е спрян и пострадалият веднага е откаран в спешната приемна на МБАЛ "Д-р Иван Селемински" в град Сливен. Пострадалият е с инициали С.С. и е на 36-години, с две счупени ребра, но в стабилно общо състояние. Предстоят още изследвания.

Plamen Staykov scored the third consecutive special stage victory this day and strengthened his leadership in the 37th rally “Sliven”. Staykov Racing Georgia's driver ahead of Orhan Avcioglu (Ford Fiesta R5) with 13.8 seconds, and third in the stage remained Skoda Fabia R5 of Dan Girtofan with a 24.9-second pass. In the general standings, Avcioglu and Girtofan exchanged positions, with the Turkish pilot on second and the third for the Romanian. The difference is only nine-tenths.

Rally “Sliven” 2017 has a new leader after special stage 3 “Kotel”. The crew of Staykov Racing Georgia, Plamen Staykov/ David Kvaratskhelia (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) made a second stage winning, which made them leaders in the temporary leaderboard. Second on this stage was Dan Girtofan (Skoda Fabia R5) with a passive of 5.9 sec. In the general leaderboard Girtofan is as close as 1.7 sec. after Staykov. The third place is for Orhan Avciuglu (Ford Fiesta R5), who could not catch up with the speed of the first two drivers and finished with a passive of 14.3 seconds.

Plamen Staykov and David Kvaratskhelia (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) won the first stage of second leg of rally “Sliven” 2017. The two of them were the fastest during special stage 5 “ Mollova Gora”, leaving Romanian crew Girtofan /Marza (Skoda Fabia R5) with 0.8 sec. behind. The time of Girtofan was enough to outdistance the temporary leader after last nights stage Orhan Avciouglu, which was on third place in “Mollova Gora” with 5.7 sec. after Staykov.

The driver of TOKSPORT WRT Orhan Avcioglu led the leaderboard of rally "Sliven"2017 after the fisrt super-special stage, which took place on the streets of the town. He overtook Dan Girtofan (Skoda Fabia R5) with 3.1 seconds, and left Plamen Staykov on third place (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX), which was 8.1 seconds slower that the Turkish driver. The best stage time from the bulgarian crews was made by Grigor Grigorov (Peugeot 208 R2). Multi-thousandth crowd viewed the attractive stage of the rally.

The crews involved in the preliminary press conference united on the idea that the 37th edition of  rally "Sliven" is going to be hard and challenging. Orhan Avcioglu/ Burchin Korkamaz (TOKSPORT WRT, Ford Fiesta R5), Plamen Staykov / David Kvarazkhelia (Staykov Racing Georgia, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) and the leaders in the Bulgarian Rally Championship Tihomir Stratiev / Dobrin Borisov (Marina Motorsport, Peugeot 208 R2) took part in the briefing with the representatives of the media in the official press center of the competition.

The recently announced for one of the best rally simulators in the world PT Racing Simulator is a part of the 2017 Rally "Sliven". Rally sport and computer simulating fans can test the unique qualities of the machine during the days of the race. PT Racing Simulator is located in the service park of the vent on "Georgi Danchev" boulevard.
