Mario Popov, who lives and works in Scotland, returns to his hometown again to run in rally "Sliven". Popov participated last year when he had serious technical problems in his car and finished last in the final standings. This year he will rely on Daniel Metchikiyan as a co-driver and will fight for a good place in his home event.

Anoth.er strong local crew - Shtelyan Tenchev / Zlatin Basmadzhiev will also start in rally "Sliven" 2017. The two were not lucky in the previous round, which took place in mid-July in Tvarditsa, retired in the beginning of the second day because of a broken driveshaft. However, Tenchev and Basmadzhiev remember rally "Tvarditsa-Elena" 2017 because of their first special stage victory, achieved in the super-special stage "Hyundai".

For the third crew who has submitted his entry form today Svetozar Kolev / Pavlin Kalchev, this will be the first participation in rally "Sliven". The two debutants drove for the first time this season in rally sprint "Dryanovo". There they finished eighth in the general classification and fourth in the RC 4 class
