Dimitar Iliev/Yanaki Yanakiev (Skoda Fabia S2000) leads after the second day of Rally Sliven.
The reigning Bulgarian champion has a small advantage of 11,6 seconds ahead of his main rival Petar Gyoshev (Peugeot 207 S2000).
Todor Slavov (Renault Clio R3) is running on impressive third 2:24,9 minutes behind the leader.
Varna-born Slavov is leading the 2WD class and has a 10 seconds advantage over Yalta winner Yagiz Avci (Ford Fiesta S2000).
Leader Iliev was fastest on most of the stages today but on SS8 Stara reka 2 he lost some of his advantage to second-placed Gyoshev.
The latter was impressive and could reduce his deficit to only 7 seconds.
However in the last stage of the day Iliev regained his speed and put 4 new seconds to his lead.
The second day of the rally will be remembered with the incident of Eytan Halfon/Sedat Bostanci (Ford Fiesta R2). He lost the control of his car and was taken to the hospital in Kotel. Few hours later he was transferred to Sliven medical centre and his condition was okay. He will go through some more medical checks and will leave the hospital in the next hours.
Italian Marco Tempestini (Subaru Impreza R4), who is competing with Romanian license, was also put out of contention as he had problems with the turbocharger. He was one of the favorites in the 2WD class but he had to leave the rally on SS7 Kotel 2.
