Time was going slowly, but when the reconnaissance started, the pace became much faster – wrote in his Facebook page Ekaterina Stratieva after the finish of „Rally Islas Canarias”. – After four months winter break it was interesting to be back in the car. It was strange, I was nervous, but at the same time I was hungry for adrenaline.

The first day of the rally was good for us, considering the long winter break. There were a lot of emotions and pressure at every stage. Leopardi (Ekaterina uses this name for her Citroen C2 R2) demonstrated his character – we had gearbox troubles and at the super special stage we drove on two wheels. Las chicas- they are crazy and fly in the sky! That’s the way they called us.

„At the end of the first day we were fourth in our group, but we made mistake with the tire choice and settings of the car and we lost two places in the second day. In the last stages we were fighting the car to stay on the road…

Stratieva finished 19th overall, 6th in her class and 11th in IRC 2WD.
