Министерството на младежта и спорта ще подкрепи провеждането на юбилейното 40-то издание на рали "Сливен". Това стана ясно след среща между Министъра на младежта и спорта г-н Красен Кралев, г-н Живко Минчев - Директор на рали "Сливен" и г-н Атанас Чанев - мениждър на състезанието. На срещата присъства и г-жа Десислава Танева - Министър на земеделието, храните и горите.

Megaport Racing crew Miroslav Angelov and Edi Sivov (Skoda Fabia R5, RC 2) won the 38th Monbat Rally Sliven - second round of Bulgarian Rally Championship and the fourth round of Balkan Rally Trophy. Angelov and Sivov won 10 out of 11 special stages and in the final the difference with the second place crew Yordan Atanasov and Yanaki Yanakiev (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, RC 2) is impressive - 3: 12.8 minutes.

The organizers of rally "Sliven" will make a second training seminar for marshals and judges who will help organisation of this year's competition. The forum will be held on August 23 (Wednesday) at 18 h. at the Sport Palace Hotel (Sini kamani Hall).

Three new entries were received by the organizers of rally "Sliven" 2017. Their desire to start in the competetition was confirmed by the crews Mario Popov / Daniel Metchikiyan (Ford Fiesta ST, E1), Shtilyan Tenchev / Zlatin Basmadzhiev (Citroen C2, RC 4) and Svetozar Kolev / Pavlin Kalchev (Renault Clio, RC 4). So the total number of requests so far has reached 15.

The winner of last year's edition of rally "Sliven" Plamen Staykov submitted his application for participation this year as well. For a second consecutive year, Staykov, who competes with a Georgian license, will rely on David Kvaratskhelia - Davidone and the familiar Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX.

The Turkish Tok Sport World Rally Team will be represented in 37-th rally "Sliven" with two crews. Orhan Avcioglu/Burcin Korkmaz (Ford Fiesta R5) and Menderes Okur/Ufuk Uluocak (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) will be fighting for good result in the fifth round of the FIA Balkan Rally Trophy, which will be the second appearance for the crews on Bulgarian soil after their participation in rally Bulgaria at the beginning of the year.

The famous Ukrainian rally driver Irina Kravets is interested in starting in the 37th Rally Sliven. Kravets will dedicate her eventual participation on the fifth round of the Balkan Rally Trophy, to the Ukrainian legend Andrey Alexandrov. Subaru Impreza WRX is the car which Kravets uses to participates in rally events. Her co-driver is one of the most famous Ukrainian drivers Ruslan Kucher.

Thirteen special stages with a total length of 182.92 km and classical stages such as Molova gora, Stara Reka and Bulgarka will decide the winners in the fourth round of the 2017 Bulgarian national rally championship. The 37th Rally Sliven is part of the Balkan Rally Trophy, which is a prerequisite for seeing a lot of foreign crews on the stages around Sliven’s mountans.
