Portuguese driver Bernardo Sousa who has a lot of experience in the WRC supporting series will be behind the wheel. Sousa was one of the driver who took part in the development of the car in tha last months.
Lotus Exige R-GT has a 3.5 litre V6 turbocharged engine with 34 mm restrictor, sequential 6 speed gearbox. It is limited to 302 horse power and weight 1200 kg.
I'm very happy to be at Ypress even driving the Lotus as a safety car. Our performance here will help us on the car development in real rally stages and see who will be our main rivals. During the tests the car performed very well and I see a lot of potential in it - said Bernardo Sousa befora the start.
