DIMITAR ILIEV (BUL, Skoda Fabia S2000):
Today was a good day for us. We did not have any technical problems and overall we did not have any major moments. I am happy with my performance. I think we can go faster but the most important thing for us is to finish the rally and take the maximum possible points. My advantage is not that big and it will be great fun for the fans tomorrow.
In SS8 I had some minor moments in the beginning. It was very slippery and I was driving at high speed. That is why I decided to go slower till the end so I could finish. Rallying is a dangerous sport and I am well aware of that. For safety reasons we decided just to bring the car back home.
Tomorrow I will try to hold my position and my advantage in the overall standings. Petar will not give up easily so we will show the maximum from us.
YANAKI YANAKIEV, DIMITAR ILIEV CO-DRIVER:
We suggest that SS Kanton should be shortened for safety reason. Today we were going uphill (SS Stara reka) and it was like we were driving on gravel and not tarmac. Tomorrow we will go downhill and we are first on the road. It will be very difficult for us. I hope that the organizers will take care of that. We are talking about safety here. The stage should be shorten with some 7-8 kilometers.
PETAR GYOSHEV (BUL, Peugeot 207 S2000): There was no tarmac at some places on SS Stara reka but we were ready for this. Dimitar is right that the stage is a bit dangerous and the organizers should make a decision. I am going to accept it whatever it is and will not make any more comments. It is dangerous for the S2000 cars, let's not look at the smaller categories.
There is a lot of fraction on the road but we are behind all this. Dimitar said something about the difference between the first and second run of the stage, but I did it all the same at a very high speed. It is Dimitar's fault that he lost his advantage.
DIMITAR SPASOV, PETAR GYOSHEV CO-DRIVER:
I am happy to be here. We had some problems but we overcame them.
TODOR SLAVOV (BUL, Renault Clio R3):
Today there were lots of incidents on SS Stara reka. The conditions there for a 2WD car are extremely tough. The first part of the stage is very difficult.
We did our best today. I did not drive for one year so I had to build my confidence. During the second running through the stages the situation got better for us.
DOBROMIR FILIPOV, TODOR SLAVOV CO-DRIVER:
I agree with my colleagues that we should shorten the stage for safety reasons.
