Ekaterina Stratieva and her Romanian co-driver Carmen Poenaru made a record breaking classification for Bulgaria in a round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. The crew which is an the official ambassador of Mabanol Sliven Rally in Europe maneged to reach the 8th place overall in Rally Yalta, round 10 of the IRC.

The two charming ladies set a very strong pace and made no mistakes on the hard stages in Ukraine and deserved to score their first IRC points. Katia and Carmen finished fourth in the 2WD cup. They were on 3rd place just one stage before the end but the turkish crew Bostanci/Vatansever managed to move one place forward.

Next event for Stratieva and Poenaru will be their home competition - Mabanol Sliven Rally, whici will take place between 28th and 30th of September
