Sixteen year old Mihail Simeonov is about to break the record for youngest competitor ever started in a round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. The teenager from Ruse submited his entry for Mabanol Sliven Rally and will put his name in the records of the championship organised by Eurosport.
Mihail made his debut in May this year, when he participated in the first round of the Bulgarian Touring car chanpionship at the "Dracon" race track.
In his short career Simeonov has started in hilclimb competitions and in July 2012 made his first participation in a rally - Rally "Tvarditsa". He was given a special permission by the Bulgarian ASN to drive the car on the special stages, while his co-driver Vasil Georgiev has to drive on the road sections as Mihail still doesen't have a driving license.
Mihail and Vasil will start in the Mabanol Sliven Rally, round eleven of the IRC, on board of the usual Opel Corsa in class 6.
